1. Introduction & Agreement
Welcome to NovelFlame ("we," "our," or "the Service"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before changes take effect.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. We employ age verification measures in compliance with applicable law, and any attempt to circumvent these measures is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination.
3. Account Registration & Security
To access the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised or are being used in violation of these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: engaging with AI-generated interactive fiction. You shall not: (a) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Service or its underlying AI models; (b) use the Service to generate content involving real individuals without their consent; (c) use automated tools or bots to access the Service without our prior written permission; (d) share your account credentials with third parties; (e) use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law or regulation.
5. Token Purchases & Virtual Currency
The Service uses a token-based system for content generation. Tokens are a virtual currency with no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real currency, traded, or transferred between accounts. Token prices are displayed at the point of purchase and are charged in US dollars. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy. We reserve the right to modify token pricing at any time; existing purchased tokens will retain their stated generation value.
6. AI-Generated Content & Ownership
All stories, images, and videos generated through the Service are created by artificial intelligence models. The content is fictional and does not depict real events or real individuals. You retain a non-exclusive, personal license to view and use content generated during your sessions for personal, non-commercial purposes. We retain the right to use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve our Service. You may not redistribute, sell, or sublicense AI-generated content from this platform without our written consent.
7. Content Policy & Safety
All users must comply with our Content Policy, which governs the types of content that may be generated and viewed on the platform. Violations of the Content Policy may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent account termination at our sole discretion.
Child Safety: NovelFlame maintains a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including AI-generated content. Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors is strictly prohibited. We employ automated content filters to prevent the generation of such content. If we become aware of any apparent violations, we will report them to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and cooperate with law enforcement as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.

NovelFlame does not produce, store, or distribute content depicting actual persons in sexually explicit conduct as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 2257. 8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by NovelFlame and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited usage rights expressly stated herein. All trademarks, service marks, and logos displayed on the Service are the property of their respective owners.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANION AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings page or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any unused tokens at the time of termination are forfeited and non-refundable, except where prohibited by applicable law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and governing law) will remain in effect.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue.
